free lancing on a GC

Hi All,

I got my GC in march 2005. I then changed job in May 2006, but it's not working out. I am thinking of becoming a software free lancer (i.e. a contractor) through starting my own consulting company.

I am assuming, as a GC holder, that I can legally freelance in the US and start my own company. Under this assumption, are there any caveats I should be aware of?

Not from an immigration standpoint. Good luck!
