Hi Folks,

Just completed the second set of Biometrics and FP 's.

Not sure whether I should wait for FP3 - - Did any one go thru for the 3rd one ?

All the posts that I have read says 2 is the charm ?? Any thoughts

Will keep you guys posted on what is tracking on my side...
Until then keeping the tent warm on

-THANKS
BAGUSAC

Got an LUD that the FP2 got completed but the status has no other updates apart from the received and completion.

Not sure what is in store next. Need some other update right away ! Will keep the progress updated until then I am sitting on my back

Somebody suggested that FP2 after a long wait is a good sign, but it's just a possibility. I had my FP2 on Oct 21, and just this weekend I got an update on the case that said the same thing again, that they received the results and the processing has resumed..., but I still keep my hopes up.

Thanks assur for your wishes in advance ;)
You are right Kartoshkin I have read that too; but again the same article states anywhere from 1wk - 2 months; but I am not sure whether the end of 2 month would result is wait for another 60-90 days to hear back [ Because of the name check black hole ].

I don't want to sound pessimistic here; but until I see that card in hand there is nothing to say or believe; man it has been quite a ride now and I guess everyone will agree that there is no pattern or process.
This madness of waiting has no method to it; every case and every person's fate of GC looks like pure luck and more like the lottery system
:mad: Crossing my figure and wishing;

Congratulations in advance...
It's the second time you are reassuring me about this thing, Assur. Thank you for the optimism. So how much longer, assur? ;)

BAGUSAC, what is this article you mentioned? I was in Name Check since March 2004, hopefully this development means I got out of it and not going back in. Let's see. I'll wait the 2 months and file WoM, before they pass a law blocking law suits or, say, decide to legalize 8 million people and put them in the same line with us.

Actually, you both under review and should expect anytime.

Contact local congressman's office or senator's office

to see the stastu of your name check. A lot of cases were issued the second FP because their name check has been cleared and the processing has resumed on their cases.

goos luck!!!

hi supply_demand; how do you determine that the FP2 would mean the name check is cleared; I mean is there any website or did u call the VSC guys to confirm on that point.
If I recall u case is also current for quite sometime and u r also waiting on the FP's right ?
What FP # did you go thru up until now ? Did u place any inquires if so how many ?
Kartoshkin the article was posted by someone few months back I guess copied from some website on this forum I am not sure by whom as it has been quite sometime; All I remember is the timeline after the FP2 is done.

Thanks in advance,

Here is another question for those gurus out there. There was an interesting twist in my personal life just now and I met a girl who is in great need of a green card too. She is on a visa. I wonder if at this stage I mary her, can she become a dependent in my case and get the green card too. This is a digrassion from the topic of the thread, but I just want to ask this within the context of this thread. Assuming I am really close to the conclusion in my case, I really would like to know if I can help some poor soul get a green card on such a short notice.

Yes man!!!! You surely can save her life as a dependant!!!

noshs, no joking here, I'm really serious. I'm not saving her life, just want to help her get through some immigration troubles. If you know something, can you give more details or references to extra info, please!

Called the congressman's office

and their office checked with VSC and they have confirmed that my name check had been completed and processing has resumed in my case.

take care

I like the way USCIS says "processing has resumed" on a case. In reality, it is just their way of saying that some time in the future, one of our staff will get off his/her butt and wipe the dust off the file.

I meant what I said. You can surely marry her and attach her I-485 to yours as dependant. You will have to get hold of a lawyer for the correct procedures, but you will have to do this before your I-485 is approved. So hurry up.

.and maybe just move it to another room.......

I keep see LUD's but the message seems to be the same.
Not sure whether the Name Check/Background Check/ FBI Check or any other checks are completed ?

This waiting game is really killing
