For the folks who have completed second FP -
Did your online message changed when you received FP2 notice?

I am in the same boat Kshitij. Waiting for "F"P-II
I have moved 3 times, done 3 AR-11s
Incase they send the notice to old adrress I am screwed.
If there is no definite way of knowing when this freaking FP notice is issued
one cant go on a long vacation either
(I was hoping to go away untill October ...)

Isnt there any way to know about FP2....??????????? :confused:
If you are away and nobody is home to check your mail.....
I remember on FP1 it was mentioned that If you dont do the FP your 485 will be considered abandoned......This process is designed for those who live in one place rest of their life and never move.........

Mine did not change after FP , but changed after I sent an RFE response.. now it states "On May 17, 2005, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 570 and 600 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case."

Well as you said correctly the system lacks good production line. If I were in your shoes I will pick up the phone call the 800 number and ask for the rep to check and see if they have issued any FP2. In the time I get connected to a rep, which might take 20-25 minutes I would book an infopass appointment. The infopass would be another alternative to find out. The 3rd option would be contact senator/congressman and ask them to enquire on your behalf about FP2. If all fails pray to your favorite god...if you dont believe in god...run for cover.
 
I got confused with the notice for fingerprint code 2. Is it the same as biometrics code 2 or different?

Finger print notice with code 2 means biometrics notice.
Signature, picture and index finger print.
The process is smooth and does'nt involve too much hassle.

Thanks all for your important feedback. Now I know the directions ...
I will explore all these avenues and if nothing works, I will change my address to a C/O address (someone who has a house). Hopefully thats allright with INS.
