FP with a copy of the notice?

Short Version / Question:

Has anyone been allowed to do FP with a copy (fax or photocopy) of their FP notice?

Long Version / Details:

Our lawyer received my wife's FP notice but we never did. He says he mailed his copy to us last week but it hasn't shown up yet. I do have a copy of the notice that he faxed to me earlier though and I'm wondering if my wife could use that if we never get an original copy in the mail?

FYI, despite changing our address with the VSC in mid-August this summer, the FP notice apparently went to the wrong address and directs us to the wrong ASC (Alexandria, VA instead of Fort Worth, TX). I was pretty sure the address change had worked (an earlier attempt didn't) because we had received a notice in the mail for the change and the LUD changed around the same time with the "...we responded to your request..." status message. We phoned the USCIS anyway a few days ago to make sure that the address change really went through and they say it did* and aren't sure why the FP notice went out (in mid-September) with the wrong address information.

*For some reason, with earlier calls to the USCIS they said they were unable to tell whether the address had changed and told us to simply re-submit the change. This time they said they were able to see that the correct address was set up...

Yes. You can do FP with a fax or Photocopy. I remeber, Sanga did like that.

Thanks for your < 120 second reply :D.

This is encouraging!

If anyone else has had success doing this, I'd like to hear from them too.

you can do with copy of finger print notice I did it last year after six months it really does not matter as long as you have FP notice. Ensure that you go with passport and another form of ID

They are bad with address change stuff. I also had the same problem, but eventually got the FP notice two days before the scheduled FP.
