FP update in NY...

Received FP notice. Details:

RD : 09/19/01
ND : 11/14/01
EAD: 12/07/01
AP : 12/05/01
FP : 01/24/02 (Scheduled. Notice date 12/28/01, recd on 01/05/02)

Anybody have any experience of going earlier for the FP in NY Bronx area? I will be out of town that week and will arrive into the city just that morning and so the concern.
 
Why does it matter?

Once you are in the 485, it does not matter what category you are in unless they retrogress the dates......

Anycase, mine is EB3/RIR

my i-145 rd:11/20/01, nd:12/11/01, fp:1/31/02.
does anyone know, after I done the FP, how long should I wait to get my i-485 approval?
 
Rescheduled FP

Hi

I had FP scheduled on 12/21/2001. I was unable to make that date due to personal emergency, so I requested for rescheduling by sending back the FP notice with reschedule day. Do you know how long will it take for the new FP notice?
I will greatly appreciate any responses.

EB3/EB2 matters ....

I have seen couple of cases in which 4 diffrent people filed there 485 same time in diff. cat. but EB2 got very fast and EB3 are still waiting for there FP dates. They say after filing 485 its same but it matters in EB3 to EB3 cat. also when your LC priorty dates are diffrent.
