FP timing

Folks, I just mailed N400. I am trying to book a brief foreign trip in mid October (11-15).

What is the likelihood of getting FP appointment by then.

If i get a FP notice and it conflicts with the booked travel, can walk in to AOS (FP facility) and do it earlier ?

Frankly, i could not get a clear picture...by ready multiple postings...I would not ask otherwise...Would appreciate referring me to concrete thread or share similar experience.

Most likely you can walk in and do you FP judged by many posts of past experiences. But you have to admit that there is no guarantee. So the
only way to make sure is to do it
 
thanks for sharing this exp. I recall, i had a similar situation with my GC (when USCIS scheduled us on holiday, we just did walk on next day...). It appears that we can do the same thing for this case....I will NOT take your time for now...let us see the progress ....

You will need to wait for the FP notice before you can do a walk in. Without that they have no idea why you need to get FPs.

I asked about the walk-in during my FP as a friend was waiting on his FP letter. The officer I spoke to said, Wednesday and Saturday but you must have the FP letter with you when you come in. That was the Phx office.

you will be given at least 2 more months even if you happen to miss the specified date
My case the schedule date is 09/25 but I have until 12/18 to apply it

So do not sweat it out - you can also try walk-in (if you get the FP Letter) and explain the situation
