What Does Name Check mean

Hi all,

I have read a lot about FBI name check, but not clear about that. My question is when the online status said. "Fingerprint review has been received." = does it mean that the FBI name check already happened and so the result is received by INS.

Can someone please help to clarify this. thank you.
