Did anybody in this board get FP rejected? What are the possible reasons? If ridges are not clear on one finger, does the FP gets rejected?

Yes, if ridges are not clear FBI cannot check your fingerprints.

Normal causes for unclear ridges are cuts on the fingers or washing the vessels or cloths without using hand gloves. If your ridges are not clear, use Vaseline or some other good cream for at least one month before going for FP.

NKRaman or anybody else?

Thanks for reply. Do you have any idea how fingerprints are matched? If 9 fingers have clear ridges, but one doesn\'t. Will this cause rejection? It is hard to imagine that 2 people have same fingerprints on 9 fingers.

Gotsc or anybody else?

What is the source of your information? Can you point to any place on the web? I just talked to FBI\'s liasion office and they say 1 finger will not cause a problem.

Clear

I got the information from a close friend. He did twice FP before. My guesss is: First time, 10 fingers must be clear. If not, do it again, maybe 9 fingers must be clear because the 9 fingers include the one which was not clear in the first time. If not in the second time, go to a local INS office as achiever said in the NSC thread.
