FP Rejected by FBI, What to Do Next?

I called this afternoon and an IIO told me that the fingerprint I took in December was unreadable.

Is it a good idea to call and ask manual shedule of FP? It's probably only going to take another 2-3 weeks to get a new notice. Or, do I have to wait them to send me a second notice to redo FP? Is there any difference between original FP notice and the 2nd FP notice? I'm worried that I may have to wait a long time to receive another notice from them.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have 2nd notice (copy) of original? or does your lawyer have it?

One of the guys here mentioned that he took the copy of the FP notice that his attorney received to the local INS office and explained the problem with the first set of prints to them and they let him redo it.

Also, for information, could you post your info PD, RD etc. and whether you had to manually request FP through a IIO?

No my lawyer doesn't have a copy of the FP notice. I called back in November to manually schedule FP.

RD 06/2001
ND 07/2001
FP 12/2002 - Non-classifiable
Waiting for the 2nd FP notice to redo FP

My AVM/On line status still says the old message: case received on..., will take 725 to 775 days to process...

I think there are 2 options for you:
1. Call TSC and ask them to manually schedule the FP. But yes as you mentioned, it might take time.
2. Go to the same ASC even though you do not have a copy of the FP. Try to give your A# or SRC# and tell them about the rejected FP. One can only hope from that point ...

I think we all can learn 2 important things:
1. Take photocopies of your FP notice as soon as you receive them.
2. If you do not see "... the results of your fingerprint ... were received, and processing has resumed on your case ..." message on your AVM/On-line even after 30 days since you did your FP, may be it was unreadable and hence rejected. Immediately call TSC.

Sorry for not responding this earlier. I was out of town last week.

My FP was done on computer screen. They actually checked and made sure everything was OK (or passed). I don't know why my results are still unreadable (maybe FBI has certain creterias).

I called FBI, they refused to tell me whether the results were good or not. I actually called TSC last month and found out the results were bad. So far, it's been almost two months since I did my first FP, I still have not received my second notice yet. Very frustrated.
