FP received after calling VSC

I have been frustrated in the 97 backlog group for Chinese. Nothing happened after I submitted I-485 in later 1997. I finally received FP after several calls. I hope the same thing happens to all people in the group.

I had applied I-485 last August. My priority date is Apr 97. My wife is right now on H4 visa. I am waiting for the priority date to be Apr 97 so that I can file her I-485.

Last week, I received FP notification. The FP notification states that I have to get the fingerprints done by Nov 26. If I submit my fingerprints, would I still be able to apply for I-485 for my wife if the date becomes Apr 97?

Is there a way that I can get an extension on the FP deadline?
