Guys,

My ND is 5/22/03. I haven't recd FP notice till now, but got EAD and AP approved.

I am planning for a vacation during Sep/Oct. I don't want that to clash with FP

These are the questions I have

1. When do we get the FP notice?
2. Has anybody whose ND in May 2003 got a FP notice?
3. Can I reschedule if I can't make bcos of vacation.

You can get FPed anytime following your I485 RD. A good way to anticipate is to check the first FP dates for people living in your area who have applied to the same service center as you have.

I would recommend you to go ahead with your vacation. If you get a FP notice beofre that and the date is when you may be on a vacation, dont cancel your vacation plan, just reschedule the FP. With NSC processign times the way they are, a 2 month FP delay in the initial stage dos not matter.

While you are on vacation keep checking online status (however with FPs, it is very unreliable), or keep a tab with your attorney, or ask a friend to check mail.

If you get a FP notice while you are away on vacation, ask your lawyer to reschedule it for you.
 
I think, FP schedule is not fixed for that day. It usally says if you can't make it on that day, you can go for following week. FP notice is open for atleast 2-3 months.
