Dear all:

I had my FP (code 3: 10 fingers) in Nov. 2005, but I received another FP (code1) appointment yesterday, I don't know what "FP-code1" means. Thanks in advance if you could help me to understand.

Code 1: Fingerprints
Code 2: Biometrics
Code 3: Fingerprints + Biometrics

They may need to redo the fingerprints because of bad quality the first time. It happens.

FP is valid for 15 months and your's might have got expired. So USCIS wants to make a trip to AOS for redoing :) OR you are nearing to GC journey.

Good luck

Thanks

psvc:

Thanks jk0274 and madgu-gc2005 for providing the info about FP.

I have almost the same situation as yours. I filed EB1-ea (I-140 and 485) in Sep. 2005, and I-140 got approval in Feb. 2006, but I-485 is still pending. I called the USCIS 3 months ago because of out of processing time, and they told me that my name check was not clear yet, so the only thing I can do is just to be patient to wait for my turn, I guess.

From the dates you posted, it looks like it took them more than an year to ask for better quality finger prints. Is that correct? Did anyone else have this experience?
