I and my spouse had an appoinntment today at Newark ASC at 2.00pm.
We reached there at about 1.10 pm anticipating a line. Voila, there
was no line at all!!! We went in before the scheduled time, filled in a form. The receptionist checked the form, the original FP letter and our
EAD cards (PhotoID, They did not specifically ask for Passports). We were given a token each, and within moments we were called. The procedure took 10 minutes or less and then we were given a receipt. That\'s it. We were out by 1.50 pm.
We took NJ transit, went to the Market Street/Raymond Blvd West exit
and walked to the service center( 10 minutes). For those of you who want directions, it is walk two blocks on Market St (cross McCarter Highway) and
turn right on Mulberry St. Two blocks and turn left
on Commerce St. INS ASC is on the left. For car travellers there is street
parking and atleast 5 garages in the vicinity. I did not take my kids,
but kids are allowed inside.

It is the 2nd part ( FBI check and then INS call to check the result) that made me nervous. Best of luck.

My FP were a breeze too

I had a 9.00am appointment on 8/16. Got there at 8.35am. There were a few people outside. We were all called in at 8.45am and done by 9.05. The process was exactly as described.

I called FBI on the same day and they told me the result has been sent to INS. I was able to get INS on the line after 3/4 days.
