Hi Gurus,

My I-140, I-485 are concurrently filed on DEC/2004 in VSC (Sub. Labor).

I got EAD and AP. But till date no updates on I-140 after receipt notice update and not received FP notice yet. Is this common? or any one is in the same kind of situation?

I called VSC 2 weeks ago regarding FP notice, I was told that they will be sending the FP notice soon. But, i have not received any thing so far. And the VSC rep said, my case will be transfered to Local Service Center. Is there any creteria behind the reason to transfer the case to Local office?

TIA,

Normally they sent FP notices in bulk based on the dates of filing. I have seen many of my friends who have received or infact even completed their FP's even for guys who have filed during Jan 2005.

Local office transfers can be for various reasons and they have been discussed a lot in this forum. To recap your question, it might be if they have already completed initial screening on your application and require few more clarifications(such as Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, police arrests etc to name a few) and want you to appear in person, quality assurance, to reduce backlog at the service centers, change of address, change of employer, medicals to name a few.

You need to keep your fingers crossed and wait for your FP notice. Merely initiating a query with processing centers doesnt help in sending FP notices.

Good Luck!
