FP Notice Received... Can I go earlier? Please share any experience

Hi All:

1.I received FP Notice and the appointment is on Feb 28th at 12:00. I am scheduled to go a class that whole week. I know, INS takes priority over every aspect of my life, but is there a way I can show up at the INS, Newark Office on Feb 14th or Feb 21st and get it done?
2. How long does it generally take to get the GC approved from FP?
3. What is RFE? What are the various steps after FP?
4. FYI: My PD is Sept 98
           485 was applied in Oct 99
           EB3, India

Yes You can go earlier.... I think any wednesday is just walk in without an appintment...... I did mine earlier......thx

Sorry, I don\'t have an answer from my experience. From the messages I have been reading for quite a long time, Finger printing is totally a different process and seems you can do it anytime earlier. It is not going to be having any adverse effect on your GC. This is one of the posts I am egarly looking at since my ND is Nov 1st and expecting my FP shortly. Thx.

You can try but i don\'t think they allow unless u are in a
place where there are less immigrants. I tried twice before
giving up and rescheduling as i will be out of country on the
scheduled date.

Can you give me the process for rescheduling the FP. I have the similar problem and trying to find out the work around.
