Hi,

My wife's notice was lost in the mail, i had received my FP notice a while ago and i also got the FP (second) done more than 2 weeks back. The same day i came back home and called the BCIS and asked why my wife did not get her FP notice, they said they dont know and its normal and i might get hers soon.

Since more than 2 weeks had passed, i got concerned and called my attorney today and found out from them that they had received her notice the same day as mine. Now my attorney asked me to just go and give it a shot with their notice.

I am just worried if they will let me get her FP done at the local center since its already more than 2 weeks from the date of appointment.

Guys please suggest what i could do.

I have an update ..... Just for people who might get into this kind of situation. I went to the CIS local office yesterday and got the finger printing done. I asked them if there is going to be a problem because of the delay and they said its not a problem.

Just a note : I went to Newark office in the morning and they said that they can't do the FP as there were lot of people there and since i have missed the scheduled date i might have to reschedule it. However i just gave one more shot in the afternoon when there were very few people and there was not even a queue. I got the FP with out any problem. So the advise is for walk in, its better to go in the afternoon.

Did the online status change when you recd FP notice

Hi Ak2003,

Did the online status change when they sent out FP notices to you. If yes, what exactly does the message show when they send you FP notice. I tried asking this question many times in the forum. But no one seems to be interested in replying.

thanks in advance

The online status didn't change when they sent me the 2nd FP notice last week. It still reads:

"On October 11, 2002 the results of your fingerprint review were received... processing has resumed..."

Basically the same stuff for the past 18 months which refers to my first FP. (ND 5/1/02)

Atlanta office has similar rule - your FP notice is valid till 1 month after the scheduled date. They take out of turn (early/late) FPs 2 days/week.
