FP Waiting?

tigris,
Your PD is not current. Current date of PD is 03/01/2002. You may have to wait for couple more months.

But my PD is 11/15/2001 and I485 RD is 08/31/2004, still have not received FPs.

I got my FP today .. Asu philly

I got my finger print notice on Feb 15

I got notice on finger print for March 17 appointment at CT.

My case:

EB 2

140/485 concurrent filing: RD June 4, 2004.
140 approved on Feb 4, 2004.

What document needs to bring for finger print?

Spouse FP

I recently received my FP notice scheduled for March. My spouse case has a different I-485 filing date and hasn't yet received FP notice. Can anyone share their experience trying FP for spouse without a FP notice at Buffalo ASC/Other centers.

I guess getting FP notice has nothing to do with PD not being current. My PD is not current and I've got FP notice and so did many of my friends. Also although the FP notice says 'biometrics' many of my friends have been just finger printed and I read in forums that some have been photographed, so there is no clear answer to what Biometrics means to USCIS!

Biometrics and FPs?

fast_gc_seeker,
You mean to say there will be separate notices for FPs and Biometrics? Or biometrics is optional choice of USCIS. I haven't heard on the forums of many people talking about Biometrics being done compare to FPs. I mean to say many people mentioning about FPs and only few mentioned about Biometrics. Sorry for my ignorance.

This may help!!

1. Biometrics - This is basically required for printing EAD cards and GC plastic cards. INS officers take digital photographs, digital signature of the applicant, finger print of the right index finger,

2. Regular FP is basically used by FBI to perform name check, criminal records check etc. INS officers take finger prints of all 10 fingers.

Check the following "code" in your FP notice and it means as follows:

Code 1 -> Regular Finger print
Code 2 -> Biometrics
Code 3 -> Both regular Finger Print and Biometrics

This is what ASC will take.

Hi 2004_GC ,

That information was very helpful.... Do you know why Biometrics is done for some and just regular finger print for others?

Thanks

code

as my understanding, Biometrics only (code 2) is for applicants under age 14 or older than 70 like that because finger printing is not required and for some 485 applicants having FP done.

My PD is Aug 2003 and I-485 ND is Sep 2004.Today i was told by my paralegal, that i received the FP notice.

Could you PLEASE provide further details about your case

I notice from your other posts that you filed EB1-EA petition

What is your exact I485 Receipt Date?
When in Feb 2005 did you receive the finger printing notice?
Did the LUD change after they sent you the finger printing notice?

I filed EB1-EA petition in Nov 4th 2002 and got the approval in Sep 18th 2004 (YES, it is not a typo!). My I485 was filed on Oct. 7th 2004 and I have not received my finger printing notice yet.

So, any information you provide would be valuable to me.

Thanks a lot!
