FP notice for 10/23/03 ND (Fort Worth, Texas)

My wife just called me at work to let me know that I received my FP notice for 09/10/04 somewhere in Fort Worth, Texas.

No change in the online message so far.

My wife hasn't received her notice yet (same ND).

This is a little earlier than I expected the FP notice to come -- I thought they were handling July / August 2003 at this point...

More info: fwiw I originally filed the I-140/I-485 while living in VA (LC was done there) and then my company transferred me to another studio here in TX about 5 months ago.

I-140 / I-485 ND: 10/23/03 (EB3) I-485's filed for self, wife, 2 kids
I-140 AD: 06/09/04 (no RFE)
FP (self): 08/23/04 (for 09/10/04)
Country of origin: Canada

Fort Worth is in Texas (near Dallas). I added more info/details to the original post.

Still Did not receive my First FP. My ND is very close to your's. It is Oct 28th 2003. Ironically i live in Irving, Texas

Cool -- I work in Carrolton and Irving is right next door (I go for lunch there a lot e.g. at Baja Fresh and Masala's). Maybe we work for the same company ;)

Good luck getting your FP -- I'm not sure why I got mine so early (e.g. in the 2003 tracker, there aren't any FP notices for after 07/03 or thereabouts) but it looks like the FP notices are starting to pick up in general.

Live and Work In Irving

Since you applied I140 and I485 together and also your I140 approval is around June 2004, so it makes sense that you got your fingerprints because they want I485 ready atleast to some extent before they can approve I140. In my case my I485 was applied 8 months after i applied my I140. And that is the big mistake i have done. Otherwise i might have had my I485 approval by now.

But please keep in touch so that we can see how they are handling Oct 2003 cases.
 
FP notice in Fortworth

ETA-GC,
The FP is done in INS Application support center ,Fortworth Center Mall. Plan on good 40 minute drive , if traffic is clear. 183 W -> 121 S -> 35W south exit seminary drive. The mall is not a fancy one , but food is available.

My wife has recvd FP notice (not for me); Our 485 ND is 10/22/03.

no go for my wife

FYI, went to get my FP done at the Fort Worth ASC today and they wouldn't do my wife's prints without her FP notice (I got mine a couple weeks ago, she hasn't got hers yet). They looked at my own notice very carefully and kept it for their records when they were done (or maybe it goes to the FBI along with the prints?). I guess my wife will have to go back there once we get her notice, hopefully soon.

For me, the process took about 10 mins total. My prints were scanned directly into a biometric system and they looked pretty clean so hopefully I won't have to repeat them. The person doing it seemed to be very thorough and when she was done a supervisor (?) spent a couple minutes checking the results.

From what I could tell, there were 4 people working at the ASC office. When I got there, there was 1 other person waiting for something and when I left one other person was arriving, so basically 2 USCIS people per customer :). I felt like asking if maybe someone there could adjucate my case if they didn't have anything else to do but I didn't think that would go over too well :D.

did you have to take a info pass appointment, I was reading thru some posts where people had to make an appointment to go to the USCIS office.

I'm not too sure what info pass is but, no, I simply showed up at the designated time and presented the notice that the USCIS sent to me and didn't have to do anything special.

wife's FP notice apparently on it's way

Just to bring this to a close, I heard from our company lawyer today that he received the FP notice for my wife on Saturday (09/18/04). We haven't received our copy yet but it sounds like this is on its way.

So, probably about 25 days between my notice and hers.
