FP notice before EAD?

I have received my FP notice even before my EAD has been approved. Is that common? Any one with experience please clarify.

Location & WAC Nos.

My location is Phoenix, AZ & WAC is 01-224-XXXX. Only time will tell how lucky we all are. My attorney feels there is no real need to get excited about an FP notice because it all boils down to when & who, takes up your case. Lets keep our fingers crossed and encourage each other
