FP in another location

Can I go to the different location of ACS to do FP, which is not the ACS location in the FP notice (different state)?

I would like to know this too but I think it may not be a goof idea if the field office is calling all the shots from FP stage. I have observed that for some folks who do a walk-in still get their online interview status changed only ont he actual day of their scheduled FP. But then again some folks get an early interview after a walk-in.
