FP, from INS to FBI or FBI to INS??

My wife and I did our FP two weeks ago at the local police office, they said they will fedex to INS. I called FBI today, they said they haven't received anything form INS yet. Last time ( 1st FP) we did at it INS office and then they sent it to FBI and FBI sent it back to INS. How is it working this time?

This is so confusing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought FP should be given at USCIS' ASC?

we live in a small town in Louisiana. We were asked to go to the local police office for our FP. I asked the lady working there she said she will fedex our FP to the Texas INS office that day. I guess then the INS office sends itto FBI and FBI sends it back to them! OR WHATEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
