Fp for EAD

We went to Phily ofice today for I 485 FP. No prob with that. we inquired whether they would do IEAD. They put a seal on 1-765 notice of biometrics and took our Pic, Fp. We did mail application not Efile for EAD. We were hoping to get the IEAD card but they said we have to wait.
I am not sure whetherer they know clearly about IEAD. Anyone knows whather this Fp, pic will hamper the ongoing EAD process?

We applied for our 3rd EAD(by mail) first week of december and received a notice for biometrics end of december.
They took our pic,sig and fingerprit(index) and we received our EAD in the mail about 3 weeks later(they discarted the pictures that we've sent to them)We did not understand why they are doing this now...

Your case is interesting. Sometime these people in the Application Support Center (ASC) don't know what they are doing. I think EAD process is different and seperately managed from the GC process. As such your 2nd time pic taking and FP (For EAD) will not effect/slow your ongoing GC process.

It is up to the officer who is working on your EAD file on which pic of yours (the one you submitted during paper filing or the one they took during your visit) (s)he wants to use. If your FP is available in your EAD file during the time of your EAD process they might just as well include that in your card. There should not be any other effect. Please correct me if anybody has any different take on this. Hope it helps.

Update

I received my EAD by Mail yesterday. They used the biometrics pic and finger print for the card.
