Appt date: 1/25/02, 9:00 AM. (for wife and self). Took FP notice, passport and driver\'s license.
- Reached Main St, Hackensack at 7:20 am. Parked right in front of the INS center (metered parking). Small office the size of a restaurant in any downtown.
- Had to wait in the car from 7:20 till 8:00 am, since our baby was with us and it was cold outside. There was no line outside. Others were waiting in the car just like we did.
- INS Center opened at 8:00am. 3 parties ahead of us.
- First table, a lady checked the FP appt. notice and specifically asked "Do you have your passports with you"? Gave a form to fill.
- We filled the forms, and handed over to the "receptionist" along with passport. (no mention of driver\'s license at all!) She place a stamp on the notice, wrote something on it (date, time etc). She asked us to show our hands. She then gave us numbers (4 & 5). We waited for our turn.
- Our numbers were called. (There were two computerized FP machines). Since we were with a child, I went in first and my wife went in after my FP was done.
- The clerk was very cordial. She FP\'d each of my fingers (both hands). Supervisor then checked to make sure FP was okay.
- Clerk gave us a Comments (survey) card to fill. We thought the whole process was cool, so we checked \'Excellent\' in most of the questions.
- I mentioned that we had changed our address (after filing 485). She gave us an address change form to be filled and sent to Newark INS office.
- We were out of there at 8:30 am.
Total time at INS office for both of us: 30 mins.
