FP Dress code

Is there a particular dress code for your FP code 3 appointment? This is in regards of the pictures that will be taken.

Nope there is none. I wore jeans and a tshirt.

This is so funny - Dude, you are just going for FP & after that you will get GC - not White House to sit in with Bush -
I wonder If anyone has ever any concern like this -back in their home countries
eg say in India -- if we have to appear in any Gov. Offices.

There is no dress code,but it doen't hurt to look presentable.When I did mines some people had on jeans and a tshirt others dressed more semi-formal

There is no dress code as such. You might still want to dress well as the photo that is taken will be the same photo that will show up on your green card. But if you don't really care about the photo on the card, you can go in any dress you want. BTW, the FPs are done by Application Support Centers, which are third parties contracted to take FPs on behalf of USCIS. They couldn't care less about the dress you wear, as long as you wear one

Make sure there is no cuts on your fingers! More important than what you will wear

u go to the office in Newark, NJ..a lot of them who work there wear jeans and tee. And some dont even look like a govt employees...they look more from the streets! Sad but true! I was suprised by the "casual-ness" of the FP office
