FP Doubt - Name misspelled on the letter

Can somebody tell me what to do if my name is misspelled on my FingerPrint notification letter. It is scheduled for sometime in March. Do I have to get a new one with my correct name or can I just go to the INS office taking all other relevant documents like EAD and 485 receipts etc.

Hi Pushpa

There are three immediate options for you

1. Take advice from an Immigration atorney

2. Go to local INS office and tell them that you have FP notice with spelling mistake. They may suggest some thing

3. Call INS center and speak to IIO, he/she may suggest a good solution to your problem

DO NOT WORRY. My wife\'s last name was misspelt. we showed the passport, Original I-485 which has correct name.

Local service center (philadelphia) checked our info. with the system and corrected
the name on Finger print notice. Then FP was done with correct name.

Donot worry. No big deal.

Have peace of mind and go for FP.
