FP done on 3 sep. INS did not receive

I got my FP done on 3 September 2001 before scheduled date. I called up FBI the next day, they informed that they have send the results to INS the same day. I called up INS today 21 September, they informed me that my FP does not come up in their system. Please advice what is happening.
