I did my FP this morning at San Joe ASC. I went there at 7.45 AM. The office opened at 8.00 AM. The person at the gate checked my notice and identification. There were only two people ahead of me. There is no rush at all. The receptionist checked my notice and commented "too early". I just smiled. She gave me a form "APPLICANT INFORMATION WORK SHEET" and asked to fill up the form. After that, they called my number and took to the FP machine. It took 10 to 15 minutes to do the FP. Before they do the FP, they will enter the data into the system based on the info in the work sheet and the FP notice. Please see that they don\'t enter wrong info.

The following info is requested on the work sheet. Even if you don\'t have all the info, it doesn\'t matter but my advise is to give as much as possible info. They retained the FP notice. So, make a copy for future reference.

1. Name, 2.Date of birth, 3.Phone#, 4.Country of birth, 5.Sex, 6.Race,
7.Height, 8.Weight, 9.Eye Color, 10.Hair Color, 11.Country of current
Citizenship, 12.Alien Registration Number, 13.SSN#, 14.Other names used,15.Your Address.

My advise is to go there when there is absolutely no rush. See that You or a couple people are waiting and not more than that. In this way, the staff will never feel pressure and will be encouraged to help people like me or us. If we crowed it, then the system may back fire by stoping the process of all the cases which did early FPing.

I am not sure if this will expediate my approval? If early FPing doesn\'t help, there is no fun to go unscheduled. Any info in this regard will be much appreciated.

Best wishes.

What is the probability of FP/report/approval getting lost if we go there too early.
After all INS schedules it for a reason.

hi,
According to the cases i have seen with my friends, if you do your FP so much
in advance, that may show your desperation to officer when he looks into ur case.
As with the current laysoffs/economy it may struck to his mind that you may not
continue the employment until your actual scheduled date which could trigger
a RFE for employment verification. I dont say it will happen to everyone but
it could alert them to check certain things which they may have overlooked
otherwise. My advise is as we are seeing cases being approved on the basis of
ND, why unnecessarily take risks ? Be more cautious and take every step to
avoid problems later
