FP clearance enquiry (from FBI)..need help

Hi gurus,
I gave my biometrics (code 3) two weeks ago. Does anyone know how can I enquire from FBI if (& when) my FP has been cleared (completed & forwarded) by them.

What are the numbers or address to enquire from?
 
(Got from old thread)Ring 304-625 5590 and press # 3 and provide the A# they will tell u ->Finger Print Check status.


BTW: Is this your second finger print (code 3)? if so when did you do your first (code 3) finger print?

This is my 2nd FP. I gave my 1st FP in august '03. I filed for my EAD 2 months ago so i think thats why i got code 3 (which means code 1 + Code 2)

I just called on the said number and told my A#. But phone rep told me that they have not recived my code2 fingure prints yet. She told me that they had successfully completed my first fingureprint checkthat I gave in May2004.
I did my code Code2 (bio metrics) in first week of August and also my 485 LUD also changed immediate next day. Is this something to worry about? What should I do next.

mydearcard, as of my knowledge code 2 is not for FBI check purpose, so it will NOT be sent to FBI. Code 2 is for generating your GC once you get approval. So don't worry about this. Your first finger print I am sure already cleared by the FBI. Please note finger print clearance is totally different from Name Check also processed by the FBI. FP is for criminal record check, it is usually done in a matter of couple of days. FBI will not get another set of FP until your first set is expired in a period of 15 months. I am sure based on the current processing time frame, you will get your green card by then.
 
Code 2 is for actual green card: index finger print, signature & photo. It doesn't go to FBI for background check.

Thanks a lot. So My first finger print was done in May04. This is already well past 15 months. So will that also expire before 485 approval?

My first FP was also done back in April 2004, most likely I will get another set of FP before they approve my case.
