FP based approval theory

I agree that the cases are assigned to IIO based on RD. There is no dispute as it is mentioned on the INS website.

Why are we seeing all approvals with FP around December. Last month, it was around november FP?? Why are we not seeing approval for FP done before november. There are few exceptions, I agree, but they are not the rule.

I believe, FP shows an intent to approve (based on either committment or the workload from INS). That\'s why for june and july filers, the FP was done after six months, whereas for Nov and Dec filers, it was done within 2 months.

If my theory is correct, All those who got their FP done in feb should start seeing approval by May.

Enjoy...Wait for the sequel to this theory...

Re : gc791188

Probably you are right, FPs done in Nov, Dec, 2001 are getting approval in Feb and March so far, no one\'s approved whose FP done in 2002 so far... My FP done in late Feb\'02.., so we have to wait another 2 to 3 months ...

Here is another approval for 2002 FP

Gtp "Just heard the amazing news...." 3/15/02 3:15pm

Guys...INS clearly states that cases are adjudicated by RD. There is no argument there. What I am saying is that FP shows their intent of processing the cases faster.

Many of you would have noticed that I140 approval processing time was brought from 8-9 months down to 2-3 months within 6 months.

Approval process ia not that lengthy. It\'s all computerized and takes only few seconds to click on approval button.

Hi… No… No… No… My RD is 7/6/01 but FP (late) done on 3/12/01 As per your theory,

Hi… No… No… No… My RD is 7/6/01 but FP (late) done on 3/12/02 As per your theory, should I wait for another couple of months? Oh.. No… No.. I can’t take it any more! . I heard lot of our friends in this forums says there is no connection between FP and AD. Its all depends on RD. Also attorney Mrs. Murthy says there is no connection between FP and AD. (http://www.murthy.com) which one is correcty?

I am asking because I know u r online

Hi if MD is 1st March 2002 what could be probable RD ? Please tell me.

No Title

I think you got me wrong. I am NOT talking about individual cases. I agree that cases are adjudicated based on RD. All I am saying is, FP shows INS intent to approve in near future. We are getting closer to 6 months processing time for I-485.

My apologies if my theory is misleading you!!

I don\'t know I can\'t say

However, it should be before march 10th.

You should get your FP notice by April end FP done by May. After that, if I am right, you should definitely get your GC by Sept 2002.

gc791188 - I like your FP theory. What is your opinion...

is the approval timeframe for Nov 01 RD and late March FP. Thanks.

I would say somewhere around May End / June beginning be

I did some random sampling and noticed that GAP between FP and AD is also shrinking just like the GAP between RD and FP over the past 3-4 months.

If you want to cross-check, look at the history of approval postings on this board.

Thanks gc791188 - another 3 months to go. For me this GC shackles are ..

proving to be disaster for my career. Thanks.

To elaborate on the FP theory...

There was a general hold on FP as 485 processing was on hold due to the Sep 11 crisis. FP was resumed end November. So those who file July/August got caught in the freeze, hence the 4-6 gap between 485 filing and FP.

The more important thing is it didn\'t matter if FP was on hold as 485 processing also was on hold during the last quarter due to 9/11.
So even if FP would have been done for July/Aug filers in Sep/Oct GC approval wouldn\'t have occurred and so FP them would have been pointless.

Anyway it didn\'t matter Once they resumed fingerprinting, they played catch and speeded up the FP. By the time Oct/November cases were filed the process normalized, so the wait for them is \'normal\'.

We are not seeing 485 approvals for FP done before November because there weren\'t that many FPs done.
