FP Baltimore - experience

Hi guys,

My file locate at Baltimore, but the also allow me to go to the nearest BCIS center for FP, so will it be any problem like delay or lost of FP if I don't go to where my file is? Since its quite far. Need your comments and experience on this.

One more thing, is it normal for the first timer also received a letter from BCIS saying that I received that letter because either my FP rejected by FBI or expired. Coz' this is my first time for FP so its quite funny when I received such letter but I just wanna know if it just a standard letter for everyone.

Update

Just an update, I did my FP at Wheaton BCIS office, took about 10 minutes and the officer told me my interview will be around 6 months after FP. Hopefully.
 
we got similar letter, but in our case we already completed 13months from first FP.. and then they transfered the case to baltimore, and we got letter today , to do FP again..

i dont know how long after that.....

Hi 485bn,

I think you won't wait to long to hear about your interview since you have to redo your fp. When did your latest fp? I got my interview letter on the 7/29/03 and scheduled on November, 2003. Good luck.
 
Well, I done my fp on 7/16/2003, BCIS received on 7/18/2003 and on 7/29/2003 I got my interview letter.

The officer at the fp told me it would take about 6 months from the date of your fp for them to call for interview.
 
People were asking different questions, at wheaton they are being told contact bcis centre for any info, they are just taking Fps.

i guess we have to wait till Baltimore to reply.

finished 19months from 485 and 13months from first FP.
 
My status in BCIS online changed! Its said "your fp was received on (2 days) after I fp at Wheaton. Thats surprised me coz' many said, online status won't change after your case transfer. I don't know why, I have three cases but only I-485 updated. My I-130 and I-765 still have the message of transfer to Baltimore. Eventhough now I already have my EAD card.

Before I know my status online changed I called FBI number and they said my fp was submitted the same day as I did my fp.
 
can you tell me approx interview date for you..
so i can predect about my interview date.
we are planning to go india around thanks giving........

Got 2nd FP letter

I received the 2nd FP letter today. Letter for my spouse has not come yet. The letter indicate that: "the sooner you come in the the sooner your application can be completed". Should I do FP first or should I wait for my spouse?

Besides, I have 3 choices of FP offices, including Baltimore. It seems to me there is no difference, right?

You better do it ASAP since you won't know when you spouse fp notice arrived. Furthermore its no harm. Yes, you can go to any BCIS office (INS) stated in that letter.

If my spouse's letter do not arrive today, I will do it first in a nearest office.
 
FP update

We got FP letter for my spouse, and we did our 2nd FP at Silver Spring yestoday afternoon. The staff told us they will send FP information to FBI directly, not forwarded to Vermond neither Baltimore. They have no idea how long it will take for FBI check it up, and have no idea how to trace or inquiry the results of FP. Only thing we can do is waiting.

By the way, there are very, very few people waiting for their FP in that office. Actually, there were more staff than their customers. We did our 1st FP in the same office last 7/1. There were crowd people there waiting for their FP, and we waited a long time for our FP done. It seems INS is experiencing very bad bussiness currently.

Should I expect online message changing after 2nd FP?
 
my lawyer got the 2nd fp notice today. my 1st fp was in last march, it's been 17 months and should have expired. this looks like a good thing to me since it means after long time, they started to look at our transfer cases again at baltimore.

what a long journey(still not ending), god bless us all!

I've done my FP at Wheaton, I think thats the one you said Silver Spring right? Your FP will be cleared only one day at FBI. I called FBI after 2 days and its cleared at the same day, and the next few days my online BCIS changed to my FP was received and in process. After a month the sent me interview letter. So don't worry too much, Baltimore is efficient with their job.
