   My attorney today received our FP notices and FP is scheduled for mid March. Please share your experinces
   with FP at Hackensack. How do they send the FP to FBI? Is it manual or electronic?
   I appreciate your help. PD 98, RD DEC99, ND DEC99.

Hi Gurus

Could you tell me what documents are required and the procedure for changing the last name on my wife\'s passport. This is for Chennai Consulate as she is currently in India. Is it wise to get the name change while she is visitig or send it to the state department when she comes back.

I was not aware that the INS has an office in Hackensack, New Jersey. I thought there were only two offices ie., Newark and Cherry Hill. I am sorry I dont have any info for the Hackensack, NJ. Are you sure it is in Hackensack???

Any body, any thoughts on this one.

He is right. There is an ASC(Application Service Center) in Hackensack, NJ.

I have read somewhere in discussion on this board that all the FP centers have become electronic in 2000.

How does electonic FP help ? By what factor does this process increase the 485 approval process?

So is the FP at Newark done electronically?

I think they way it works is that once the finger prints are taken they are available in the central database so any service center can access it.

I believe Newark is also electronic FP ASC.
