FP at Dallas

Called IIO on Dec. 30th
Rxed. FP notice on Jan 15th
FP Appt. is for Feb 25th at Dallas (NW Hwy office)

After reading about successful experiences with fingerprinting before the scheduled date, I tried my luck this Saturday. The lady at the entrance looked at my notice and said that the FP date is Feb. 25th and that there is no way I can get it done before it. Ofcourse, I told her I am going to be out of town during that time and all that, but she was adamant. The reason why I went is because I did not want to wait a month to get the FP done.

Has anybody had any similar experience? Should I try again some other day or should I just wait for my appointment date one month later? Please offer your suggestion.

I did my FP early in Dallas. Mine was scheduled for 2/18 and I did it on 1/11. I went on Sat around 1:30 or so... Not too many people around. I talked to a young guy sitting on the desk to the right. He was very helpful.

He told me that my notice date was for 2/18. I told him I was going to be out of town which I really am going to be and he said ok. He let me do it. So I guess, u should try again. just aviod the lady you went too the first time.

Thanks for your reply and advice. Now, did you go to the office on NW Hwy? Just want to make sure we went to the same place. I had gone at 9am and there were atleast 80 people (mostly Hispanic) waiting inside the room. I guess I will go at around 1pm (I think they close at 2pm on Sat.) and try my luck again. And I will avoid this lady. But the problem is the lady who was sitting on the right was talking in Spanish and I am not sure if she would entertain English-speaking folks.

Don't know why they scheduled us at the Fort Worth ASC instead of NW Hwy, but I tried going 4 days earlier and they didn't let me do the FP. I went on a Saturday afternoon when it was very slow but the officer wasn't even prepared to lsiten to my explanations. I guess you need to be lucky just like getting a good IIO on the phone.

Finally got it done this morning. No problems at all except the 60 mile journey :-), just took a few minutes for the whole process once we got there.
 
Did FP on Sat

Thanks to the posting by Charismatic1234, we did FP on
Sat, 3 weeks before scheduled date. They were not very
willing to do it intially but were very accomodative when
I told them that I have to be out of the country for two
months from next week. Good luck to everyone!!

The AVM got updated with the "case resumed" message after receiving the FP for self and wife. Quite relieved that it went through fine. It got updated today,ie, 10 days after I gave the FP.
 
FP completed Jan 30, 03. Website updated today with "processing has been resumed on your case". But my wife's status has not yet been updated though she did the FP with me on the same day.
