FP and Match Warning

Hi,

today I went for my FP in Hartford and it was done electronically - first scan and then analyze... left hand was OK, but when she did my right hand two fingers raised a "Match Warning" red splash on her screen...

I asked her if it was OK and her answer was something like "if I accept it - it's OK..."... I do not know what to think, it keeps bothering me... I wonder how fast the FBI can clear my FP results...

1 month back I changed jobs and it required a FP to be cleared before start, so I did it. I have done this 2 times already when I was starting jobs for Wall Street firms, everything was fine... now this match came up, it confuses the hell out of me, I have never done anything wrong, no criminal records or anything like that... so what can cause that Match Warning ? If it's the result of my previous FP from my job then why only 2 fingers out of 10 matched ? Strange...

I am not going to sleep well till they clear my FP results for sure... :(

Anyone on the board had any similar exprerience ? If so, how did that resolve and how fast ?

TIA.

I think perhaps you are mistaking the term "match"... it seems like it must be something to do with whether the print was taken correctly or not which is why the person taking it said "if I accept it - it's OK...". It has nothing to do with matching your prints in the database. That does not take place until the prints are transmitted to the FBI.
When I had gone for my FP, something similar had popped up on the screen although I don't remember the words. It was basically asking manual verification of the print by the person taking it - I think in my case, she just made me do that particular finger all over again.
Hope it helps, I don't think you should worry yourself over this.

I think herenow is correct since I did FP2 2 months back and it was showing all that red stuff if the finger print was not correct or if the lines were broken.

Also the matching is done at FBI, otherwise what do you think they sending FPs to them. So, don't worry about anything. When she said it would accept if I say ok, that means she can say ok to wrong finger print also but that would be rejected by the person who does the QA after the initial person is done.
