Hello all:

Am new to this forum and needed some advice regarding possible implications of FP. Here is my situation:

Filed 485 in CSC but live in Texas. Now I have received a notice for FP from the TSC asking me to do FP in Dallas

1. Does this mean by case has been transferred to TSC? My online status still shows the standard CSC message - no reference to FP

2. Is it advisable to go to some other center, say SFO, to avoid transfer to TSC? How does one do that?

3. Do I have to go on FP date in notice only? My appt now is for April2 and I would like to do it sooner, if possible?

Thanks for all you help

1. Not sure if it has been transferred to TSC.Don't trust the online status, there are several instances in the past where it was never updated.

2. I am not sure if you can just walk into any place to do your FP.More so in your case, Dallas falls under TSC and SFO under CSC. So not sure if it will work. Check with your lawyer

3. Some offices let you do early FP and other don't, they are not consistent. So you have to go to the local office and give it a try.

am2220,

I had a similar experience.

I have filed in CSC and now living in VA State. I have also received my 2nd FP from the local BSIS office in Alexandria not even from any east coast center. More over the notice came to my residence address directly, not even to my attorney in CA.

I went there about 12 days before the scheduled appointment date at 8:30 AM but they asked me to come back again on the exact date even though there were no people waiting. I went there again on my appointment date and every thing went fine. But this time, my actual appointment day the place was filled with all of the FP guys. Makes me think that they have scheduled all of the FP cases together on one day and may be all of the Temps to take FP are working on the same day.

I have also received RFE but that went to my attorney in CA and they have sent the reply to the CSC center.

So, in my instance the case was not transferred to other center.

I would say, if the center is closer to you, you can go head and try once at most they are going to ask you to come back. You can always go on the actual appointment date.

Good luck.

just do the FP where it is told , i.e close to your place and remain quite.,worry free. Its of no use thinking other issues at this moment as it is out of your control.
