Hi All,

Me and my wife had our citizenship interviews today and we both passed.

Details.
My interview was scheduled at 1.30 pm, wife's at 2pm.
Reached Fort-Smith DO at 12.45pm and gave interview letters.
There were 3-4 people for interview. Security officer was pretty casual and gave info about how the interview would go like there are 2 officers for interview and they will call me and my wife one by one.

So we are waiting and then at 1.30pm my wife was called for interview.
She was asked 6 easy questions and asked to print her name not sign the photograph verified n-400 and handed n-652 with congratualtions and she was out in 15 minutes.

I was called at 2pm. And the IO was in a rush, looked like.
Gave me the oath about telling the truth, asked for GC and drivers license and before I could sit down started asking/verifying N-400.
Asked would you support US in case of war. A: Yes and will you be willing to give your other country's citizenship. A: Yes.
Asked other qs about arrest, did you ever say you are a citizen of us?
A:no

Asked to write a simple sentence:I have a plain house.
Didn't ask to read(as per norm).

Asked six qs. Dont recall all (few)
why did the pilgrims come to us?
which ship?
who was the president during civil war?
2 Senators?
What is the introduction to constitution?
Messed this up(its preamble) said bill of rights. so asked 2 senator qs.
2 senators was 7th qs and IO stopped and asked to sign the photograph, and asked to verify all info is correct and asked to print my name as in GC.

That's it gave me the n-652.
Once the qs were done and she gave me n-652 I started asking qs about oath and she replied promptly. Per IO the oath should take place in less than a month.

This if Fort-Smith DO they wait for atleast 20 citizens before scheduling oath.
I know, other places people are waiting for months for a oath. But this is what we have here at Fort-Smith DO.

One major part done.
Oath, passport awaiting.

This has been a great forum to share, experience and learn about various journeys. Some happy-go-lucky some painful and some just bad luck.
But each is an unique journey which hope ends soon for all.

Good luck guys for all.

Congratulations. Things went really fast for you. We did AOS at Ft Smith and I wish we had stayed there. Maybeso we would be waiting for Oath Ceremony along with you. That's a great little office. Usually no problem parking right in its parking lot. Not like LA.

Hi Tan_swap,
I'm the photograph guy for this week :) so, do answer this.

She was asked 6 easy questions and asked to print her name not sign the photograph verified n-400 and handed n-652 with congratualtions and she was out in 15 minutes.

Ok, so ur wife was asked to print on photo - got it!

and asked to sign the photograph, and asked to verify all info is correct and asked to print my name as in GC.

What about you? Did you "sign" the photo or did you "print" on the photo? Can you elaborate?
Thanks.

CrossHairs,

Yes I signed the photo as I sign on my checks.

Also IO instructed me to print my name on N-400 Part 13. Signature at interview section.

Hope this clears.

Tan

Manlika2004,

Yes indeed. Fort-Smith is a small little office.
Now they arrange oaths at two places, one at DO and other at courthouse, which is nearby.

Good luck.
