Hi,
I am considering applying for citizenship soon. I had about 10 trips outside the usa. on a few of them, i might have missed to write all of the countries i had been to on the paper that they gave me on the plane before arriving to usa. now of course i will list the countries correctly on n400.
1-do they keep those papers and look at it?
2-and if they do would this be a problem because they will compare what i wrote and if they found out that they dont match they consider me giving false info when i was entering the usa?
 
you should assume they keep all papers you give them.
anyone can make a mistake. It is unlikely they will challenge you on this aspect ... during N400 all they are trying to find out whether you lived in US enough. this should not be an issue unless you traveled to Cuba, North Korea, Pakistan or something like that and forgot to mention.
if challenged, please put down the right facts.
please note that i am not making any assumptions about the countries mentioned above, these are random names, just like random profiling. Visiting a country may not be an issue, but forgetting to mention a hostile country might be.
 
Leaving out one or two of your visits by mistake will not be much of an issue.As mentioned in the above post, if at all you have visited the hostile nations, then it may( note ) trigger problems. Make sure to cite all your visits on your citizenship application. Good Luck!!
 
just to clarify ... i do not think visiting some countries is an issue, but if they are the only countries omitted from a list provided to immigration, then it could be.
