hello fellas...i just called cis about backdated asylee green card.
surprisingly, she did'n have any clue what am talking about.then she transfered to her superviser,she did'n know even anything about it.she transfered me to immigration officer.he did'n know even.but he searched and i told him even about sec.209.2.then he told me to file i-90 without any fees and without sending the plastic card.and attached a short explained notice.
and i will do this tomorrow.and will keep you updated.
 
If you e-file I-90 and check 2d, it will automatically set no fee and guid you how to submitted support evidence. In support evidence, you can copy the section 202 (f) from INS web page, indicate your green card is not backdated and attach a green card copy. Later, INS will schedule a finger print for you and ask you mail your green card back.

I just filed online I-90. It is quite different from what you said. First, it did not ask me to apy $185 application fee. But it did ask me to pay $70 biometrics fee. After successful submission of the application, it says that I will receive I-797 Receipt Notice within 7-10 days. They will also schedule my biometrics appointment. It says that I must bring the following to the biometrics appointment: (1) appointment notice; (2) photo id; (3) ALL required initial evidence; and (4) ANY supporting documentation.

I went through this today. Are you sure to what you said?
 
i mailed my package this morning.they required biometrics from people who got old version of gc.i will let you know my updates.

Is our gc old or new version? Yours and mine would be the same version, I thought, since we got it about the same time.

Please share your step-by-step of filing this I-90 form.

old version mean...the one issued without taking biometerics.if you hav'n gone through biometrics..you need to pay $ 70.otherwise they just took ours last month or so..they have it in their system.just like when you renew your licence , they donnt ask you for your picture again.does this make sense..?..
and i send this form to los angeles lock box.
