Form I-693, Medical examination Confusion!!

when i shopped around, i got quotes from $160 to $1100. I called atleast 20 docs before i found a cheap one 15 miles away. I ended up paying $200 for everything. The X-rays were covered by my medical insurance. I was not given a copy of the report for my records, but i was told that my file would be available anytime i come around and request a copy.

Mine was $150 and included the X-Rays. My blood tests to check out if I was cover for the vaccinations (I didn't have with me my shots records) plus a couple of shots for chickenpox that they didn't find was cover with my health insurance. I just called 2 doctors, both were the same price so I took the nearest one. They gave me a copy for my records.

thank you for all the responses
i found one doc for 120 per person and they said I will have to take care of
lab report expenses , so am going ahead with that .

thanks

Medical exam - Immunization

I just got LC and new to the I-485 business.

I do not have a record of immunization. So, the doctor will most likely ask me to take shots for skin test/Xray, MMR and TD. I think the TD and MMR are given in two or three rounds.

Do we have to wait for all round to complete to get the medical report or they can issue saying that the applicant has commenced the course of immunization. Will the USCIS accept or it will issue an RFE ?

Can you please help me understand these gmmics !

Thanks a lot !

No, you don't have to wait for the end of the rounds. You at least should begin with the vaccinations and that will be posted in the form, the doctor should tell you what to do first, they should give you a copy of the form and seal the originals.
Keep the copies for your records.

Good luck,

vaccination record

I am applying GC for my parents and both of them are over 60 years old. What kind of vaccinations are required ? If they cannot produce the vaccination records, do they have to get all the shots listed in form I-693, or are some of the shots not applicable to people of their age ? Should they get the vaccination before even going for the medical exams ?

Thanks very much for your help!

That is up to the doctor to waive some vaccinations or not, actually there are some required for 65 and up.
When you decide which doctor is the one who will make the medical, s/he will decide which vaccinations should be done, does not matter that you don't have their immunization records with you. Some doctors made a blood test to check out the immunization levels for different types of vaccines.

Remember, is the doctor who decide what to do, and s/he is the one who will guide you.

Good luck,
