Form I-140 & Statement of qualification question

Form I-140 filling & Statement of qualification

I plan to apply for NIW and EB1-EA category. I am not getting very clear idea how to fill the form I-140, I will appreciate if somebody can help. I am working as postdoc fellow and am on H1B visa at present.

What should I fill in the section 6 of I-140 (Basic information regarding the proposed employment)
2) SOC code
7) Is this a permanent position
8) Is this a new position

I also learnt that I have to submit a form titled "ETA- form B, statement of alien's qualifications". What is this form? My international office tells me they don't file any such form and online also it showed me it is something regarding labor certification. Do researchers also have to file some thing like this for H1B and GC?

Is there a checklist for NIW and EB1-EA forms for researchers

permanent position is relative defination for NIW and Eb1-EA so you can write based on ur job....but if you say yes...attach statement from employer
for NIW Eb1-EA employer letter will suffice but for Eb1-OR u need concrete proof.

i beleive new position query is startight forward...if u are already working say NO

yes for NIW u need to do ETA part B form
its straightforward form
when you file labor based u fill in ETA A also

N4. Copy of approval of two-year residency waiver (if on J1)
N5. Copy of my previous IAP 66 (J1)
N6. Copy of my wife’s IAP 66 (J2)
N7. Copy of my wife’s current I-20.(if wife is on F1 now)
N8. Copy of our Social Security Cards (u/wife).
N9. Latest Payment Stub.
N10. Latest Tax filling information.
