Hi-
I am a US citizen and my wife is an H1-B holder. We are married and is in the process of submitting all the form to adjust her status. I have one question about th Advance Parole Form I-131 and was hoping someone can help me out. I know we fill out the advance parole form to allow reentry into the US. However, my question is we are not sure of when my wife will be traveling out of state in the future. Should we still submit form I-131 with the rest of the forms now so that there will be less of a problem in the future? or should we submit form I-131 once we confirm when the expected date of travel? I know that she can travel in and out of the US with her H1-B visa but in about a couple of weeks after we submit all of the forms, she might be quitting her job and not be a H1-B carrier anymore. Any help is appreciated and thank you in advance.

There is no downside

You can go ahead and apply for her AP now. Listen, nobody is going to come after you if you got your travel document (AP) and later decide not to travel. People buy tkts, make thousands of plans in advance and change their mind at the last minute. Long story short, it's not a biggy if she gets her AP & leter decide not to travel on it. Atleast if she has it, she will be able to use it if she has to in the future.

There's a section on the form that say "expected date of travel". Should I make one up or just leave it blank?

Thanks Atlanta Brother, One more question about this form, "where it says class of admission", question 3 on part 1, should that be her current immigration status of which is H-1B? or should i use her status when she initially entered the US? Or is it supose to be something else? Thanks.
