Form DS157

I have an appointment in the first week of October at the US Consulate in Toronto for F1-H1B stamping. I was filling out the DS157 form when I noticed that one of the questions asked was to list all the countries that I entered in the last 10 years. Two years ago, I flew by Emirates and stopped in transmit in Dubai for 3 days since my Dad worked there. Will this be a problem? Almost every Indian who flies Emirates has a 12 hour stop in Dubai while returning and enters the country on transit visa. Has anyone faced any questions or problems due to this?

Wont that be attracting more attention to the issue? Instead, will it be better if I gave an explanation when asked? Has someone gone through this before?

I don't think transit is entering a country, may be you should say "no", it mostly meant for people who lived or worked in any country. Most of the countries like Canada immigration doesn't even care much if your visit was less than 6 months. If I would you I won't mention that. This is just my opinion.

I printed UAE 2000 (Transit). As your passport is stamped for entry/exit so better print the correct statement. There is no issue for the transit passengers.

I think Safdar is right, if you have a visa printed in your passport then it's better to mention, but mention it in a way as "Entered UAE for transit to India", no need to mention no. of days or anything.

Thanks a lot for your replies. I will do exactly what you told me. I will include transit in the form.
