I am going to apply a H-1 visa at Ciudad Juarez. I have some questions on the Form 156.

1. Item 17: Do you plan to work in the U.S.?
As a H-1 Visa holder, I should say "YES". However, on the top of this question, it says "Holders of visitor visas may generally not work or study in the U.S." What should I put it there, "YES" or "NO".

2. Item 26 (c): Has labor certification for employment in the U.S. ever been requested by you or on you behalf?
When I applied H-1B, there was a labor certificaton for emplyment. Should I say "YES" to this question?

Please help me!!!

Thanks...

Really appreciate...

Answers:
1. Write "Yes." And, then elaborate saying that you intend to work under H1B visa.

2. I think 26(c) refers to the green card process. You can write no, if it has not been started for you. (at least I did and i had no probs)

hope this helps.
