Forgot to write N/A in N400

We forgot to write N/A in N400 forms and left fields blank where we had no information. Later we realised that we were suppose to. Does anyone know what can be the implications of this? Our forms were mailed on 27th, 2009 and we have not any notice from USCIS as of 07/31/2009.

Thanks for help.

No worries. You are fine.

There are things to worry about and things to really worry about and this issue is neither... relax. You should get your NOA in the next week or two, and then the waiting begins... :)

It is not an issue. You will tell an IO duriing the interview if s/he asks you.

It will take time to receive the UCIS notice. It is always slow because too many applicants applied.

How did you send it to the USCIS? Did you send it to the right lockbox unit?

Did you send it ith some sort of tracking (USPS Certified Mail or Fedex etc)? It will tell you whether they have received it or not, and when was it received. Usually it may take two weeks to receive the NOA (Sometimes it may be more than two weeks or less than a week).

Thanks for your reply. I send it via USPS express and with return receipt. The tracking first showed that notice left and after two days it said delivered. Also, within 4 days I received the return receipt.

Good to know. Next thing will be finger print appointment notice.

Can you edit your signature and add your timeline there? That way others can know about your timeline and status.
