doctor1,

Ok good that you have received receipts for all of your 4 applications but BC is an imp piece of document that USCIS will look for. Either you will get a RFE in about couple of weeks or they may ask you to bring it along with you on the day of your interview.

If I were you, I would mail it in (not the original, copy only) to Lee Summit P.O.Box address where your case is being processed and attach a small note on the side. Keep in mind when you send a copy of your BC, there should be 3things in the envelope.

1) Copy of your BC
2) Note/Letter on the side explaining that you forgot to include BC earlier.
3) Copy of I -485 receipt that you just received in the mail (very important). This way your BC would end up in the right place.

There is no harm sending the copy of your BC at this stage. What do you gotta loose, nothing but a 42 cents stamp that's it.....BIG DEAL. I would throw that in the mail ASAP. This way you may end up saving 2-3 weeks of this RFE process.

thanks Atlanta_Brother for the reply, I think you are right,I should send it right away..

so i guess i will send it here

doctor1,

The final call is yours. I would still send it regardless. If you get a RFE, you get a RFE but by sending it, what do you have to loose....just a postage stamp.....big deal.

I know this was posted like 10 years ago, but I really wonder what happened after.

I am in the exactly same situation. Forgot to file birth certificate. I filed i140 and i485 at the same time and i got approval for i140 and received the receipts for all packages like mentioned above. Also, i got an appointment for finger print this month.

Should I send the BC or wait for RFE. Also, any examples for the letter if I decide the send? Just explain I forgot to include birth certificate?
