Forgot to put 1yr proof of presence in US

After reading a few posts, I realised that I forgot to put some type of proof that I was physically present in the US one year prior to my I-485 application. (Application was mailed 7/11/09)

Q: Is there a procedure where I can send it even before USCIS requests it? Do they always ask for it? I am trying to avoid delays.

no need, don't worry.... frankly, they don't require them.

just wondering... what proof you were willing to send?

I went to the lawyer with my asylee friends for their GC and I told him "you should include a copy of apartment lease or bank statement "for 1 year" in the GC application?"

he said "no need at all, USCIS don't ask for that  and these things don't proof your existance in USA, extra documents should not be sent to them, they have enough confusion. If they ask for it, we will send them what they want"

and it was true... the three of my asylee friends got the GC without any problem in 4 months, that was in December 2008 :D

I can apply for a GC on Jan 2010. I do not want to hire my lawyer back, coz he was no good.
I was wondering how do I apply to do the medical/finger prints? And do I do those things in Jan or can I do them earlier?? if these are stupid questions - sorry in advance
:)

for the medical exam, you can find the USCIS certified doctor here https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=CIV

and this is all details related to the application of medical exam http://www.immihelp.com/greencard/adjustmentofstatus/medical-examination.html

hope this is a helpful thread for the GC application http://forums.immigration.com/showthread.php?t=291386

you don't need a lawyer for the GC application and there is no such thing as a stupid question
