Foreign travel on AP when unemployed?
What are the risks or legal restrictions if someone travels out of country while unemployed but having valid Advance Parole and EAD. I-485 is pending for 2 years.
Greatly appreciate any experience or opinions. Thanks

There are no risks or restrictions, beyond the risk of having your I-485 denied while you are away.

Risk is not for travel, but it is for I-485 while approving if they check what are you upto !!!

I don't understand, why is there a risk of 485 being denied? Is it because I've requested a change of status and I'm out of the country I'm not in status?
So if your 485 is close to being approved, there is a risk if you travel out of the country?

risk of 485 being denied is due to the fact you are unemployed, not be`because of travel.

Relating to your responses to 'jack123''s questions...

Seems from your responses to me that international travel, and risk of getting I-485 getting denied are two exclusive things.
If you are unemployed, then the risk factor of I-485 denial is the same, no matter if you travel internationally or not....

Is the above interpretation correct ?
