Foreign State of Chargeability

Dear Britsimon,

I have a question and I need your help.

I am Egyptian holding only the Egyptian nationality and passport and currently living in Egypt, but I was born in Saudi Arabia. I have applied in the DV lottery based on Saudi Arabia as the Foreign State of Chargeability.

Is this going to disqualify me, or not?

You did the right thing, you cannot be disqualified based on that. Your chargeability country is Saudi Arabia. Chargeability is based on country of birth regardless of whether you're a national or hold the passport of that country or not.
