1)Has any one in this forum has anykind of experience on border crossing and
entering US via the BRIDGE WALKING I have heard that that is the most easiest
way. The reason I am asking is bcos I have my friend who just landed as
canadian PR and now wants to enter US. I have arrangments that can pick him
from Buffalo.

2)Is there any way that Immigration guys at the border post findout that
you have applied for I 485. I have heard that they can track that at the
border (In case if they Interview by asking him to come to there office)

His is a bit complicated case so any kind of help would be really appreciated
if not atleast suggest me what can be done

Thanks

I once crossed at the rainnbow bridge in to canada...

and no one even looked at my docs, this was because I had nothing in my hand, not even a bag , and they thought I was just wandering onthe bridge and coming back. But this was in late august. Note this experiance is just for entry after landing, for the first time landing you are going to get questioned no matter where you enter, but usually these Qs are not the suspicious type,

But I did not enter the USA on foot on the bridge.

Also if you are entering canada after getting an I-94 frmo your advance parole entry earlier, then they might not like it very much. But on the US side I think having a Canadian PR does not hurt when you are in AOS pending state, check this board for "Nandit Barua", he had all sort of experiances with AP entry.

Check if applied for 485

I want to know one more thing is that possible for them (US Immigration at the port of entry) to find out if this particular person has applied of rAOS (I-485).

TT how was the post on the rainbow bridge USA side did they have a big office or just like toll both?
Please share some light

I think they can find out easily ..

1) If you are entering with AP, then they know in a moment,
2) If you are entering on an H1, they may not find out, but they
can pump the info out of your passport #, visa # etc.

The office on the rainbow bridge has toll booth kind of stands for
each lane but you have to go thru a DMV sort of line for
people who are walking across the bridge.
