Dear all,
I just got my I485 approved (ND: May 2003). My 140 got approved June 2003 (ND: Apr. 2003).

I was told by FBI, as a response to my inquiry, that my name check has been pending since May 2003. Then I faxed an expedite name check letter to them.
Below is the format, I wish it could be helpful for you guys.
Separately, I do not know why FBI has not responded my inquiry of my wife's name check status, her I485 is still pending. It is weird, does anybody have this experience???

Dear FBI officers,

In response to my faxed inquiry, dated on XX, 2004, on my name check status, your office faxed me back the results on XX 2004. Your fax reply is attached for your review. According to your fax, I found that the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) had requested FBI to conduct the name check for my immigration processing on XX, 2003. But my name check has been pending since then.

Name check result is required by USCIS, and thus a “must”, to process my adjustment of status, i.e., I485 form. I wish you could kindly consider my request of expedite name check for both my case (primary case), and my wife’s case (derivative case). The information you need to do this is given below.

Wow .. what a turn of events!

Congrats, man!!! Few days ago I was sad to hear that your namecheck was pending (my RD is May 2003 too)! Have fun! :p

Congrats on your approval. Was there a LUD before the approval and what is the exact date in May for your ND.

The LUD is 13/09/04, the same day as the AD.
My ND is 05/19/04.

what was ur FP1 and FP2 dates?
 
On xx xx, 2004, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made.

What does this mean?

Is name check cleared from FBI?
 
Dear Marais,
This means that they have received the FP from FBI and this is a standard message. You will have to fax the letter to FBI to find about your name check and call FBI finger printing division to find out about your FP status if you are interested to know. You will lots of lots of thread where you can find this info, so please browse this thread.

Did you contact FBI yet? if so did you get any feedback from them? Now, tell me what is the procedure to do above?
