Please do not expect anything from INS soon. Their objective is to delay, delay and delay. Which other government agency in this land can say we will come out with regulations when we please and hold your applications hostage until then.
But even if they can delay in implenting law, they also cannot break it. We should use that to our advantage and change job within the frame work os S2045.
INS can then hold on to our applications until they please. But they will have to give us EADs to work and they cannot deny our application. Having approved GC would have given a little bit more peace but we still get all other benefits of GC. (except you cannot change field of your work).
What else do we want? Are we in any better position to stick to these blood sucking consultancies? Even if we stay with them our applications are on hold until INS come out with regulations. These companies bill the client at least twice what you are paid making you first target of any lay off. If you do not have a project they stop paying you. They provide you with least possible benefits and no job security.
Evaluate for yourself where you are better off. I am not willing to let these blood suckers or INS hold me hostage to their whims and fancies.
Congress has given us the freedom and INS cannot take it away. Enjoy it if you can.

Very nicely put in words VSC9909. I am planning to wait for another two weeks. In the mean time I will talk to some attorney who doesn\'t represent interest of my company. After that bangarappa PO PO...I am gone. I wish I could inject these suckers with foot and mouth disease so that they can be destroyed and burn them with their legs upside down. I would personally come to see these filthy bodies if that happens.

I think I see the stirrings of an \'awakening\' here. The first step we all need to take is to not let this delay take control of our mind and senses.
Remember what Mahatma Gandhi said : "They cannot take away our self respect if do not give it to them". So be mentally strong, focus on the positive.
The next step is to expand you horizon or \'circle of influence\' by evaluating your current position, exploring your current opportunities. And then make your move accordingly.

In my view INS treats every GC process illegal and condemns the application for 4-5yrs to rot.

well said, ignore INS, they will be volurable in court if they deny such cases!!! it will trigger thousands of law suits if they dare to deny us!!
